Touchdown in London!

Alright, things have finally started off in earnest!

Kyra and I departed Seattle at around 7:15pm on Saturday. The first interesting piece of fortuitous happenstance was that our seats were upgraded to these:

Suffice to say that this was the nicest seat I've ever had, and it made the nearly 9 hour flight quite comfortable. Normally I can't sleep on planes very well, but after a few (free) shots of booze, I was out :)

Woke up about an hour before we landed, and touched down in the UK at around 11AM their time. Having just woken up from a decent sleep, I don't feel like I'm that far off from adjusting to the time change (London is 7 hours ahead of Seattle).

We checked in to our hotel, the Marriott right next to Hyde Park, then just sorta tooled around London for a few hours before hitting this nice Indian place for a late lunch / early dinner (http://www.masalazone.com/). London has quite the reputation for good Indian due to colonial era habitation of India, and this place was pretty tasty!

Taking a quick rest in the room for now, then gonna go back out on the town and try to get some nice night shots of London.

Cheers!
